A vast brick wall

solid and complex

hectic mountainous

beeswax of bricks

spotlit

by the afternoon, evening

crossover sunlight

orange highlights

on its rust and dusty greys

*

The sky has been severed

by a sever black line

of electrical cord

between one dull

wall and a squat

green building.

The walls,

like corrugated cardboard

are heated by a conical bin of smoke

on top of a column of metal

leading down to the floor.

It’s a torch at the Olympic

Stadium

forgotten

and all gone out

*

Perhaps they have moved her

by now

*

Paler bits of sky

behind trees in the distance

make a sparkling skyline

a burnt or burning

horizon

The trees are buttered

they shimmer as they melt

  1. No idea why I had never googled my own name…when I did I found a number of imposters…or namesakes or whatever you would like to call them…I am replying too yours as I wonder how many folks have read it and thought it was me. *smile*
